Too Cool

On the Stoop

It's ArtWalk tomorrow in Downtown LA and our apartment complex/lofts throws a giant party with free drinks (maybe I should keep this one a secret. Anyways, there's a huge event here with a cool new artist and I am contemplating whether or not to re-paint my nails a fierce, summery color to offset the geometric, Theory dress that I want to wear. Hmm? The questions that we ladies ponder that may take up so much time in our lives. I guess I can do that and watch British tv show episodes on Netflix and get the best of both worlds, or I could research apartment shares on the Central Coast for a fun trip North bound! We shall see.

Taking a Trip a few Blocks Down to Chinatown

The windows are open above a small shop to bring in a cool, summer's, drafty breeze.

A bit of shopping was done for the juice cleanse I am on for the next seven days. The fruit looks fabulous and is dirt cheap. Guess what I found for the Alice in Wonderland Very, Happy Un-Birthday Party I am having on July 27th? A paper parasol! It is currently resting on top of my shelving unit. Bianca is scared of it and the juicer, methinks. So funny. She is a skitzy kitty.

Plaid Oversized Lace-up Shirt: RVCA, Navy Blue Leggings: American Apparel, Shoes: Nordstrom Rack forever ago?, Sunnies: Quay, Necklace: Karmaloop (some designer I forgot), Earrings: Payless (go figure?), Silver Bracelets and Hand Embroidered Purse: 2 vintage gifted and one thrifted, Nail Polish: Essie Petal Pink.

Delicious! However, I do MISS macarons, boba tea, cookies, nutella and chocolate a lot right now.

I love light! I also loved my visit to Chinatown. Little Tokyo and more of LA are coming soon along with more DIY, travel, outfit posts and more! I'm back and staying this time.

The Desert

A couple of lovely girls and I decided to head to the desert to camp over the fourth of July weekend! It was quite lovely. I am naturally a very hot blooded person, but the food, rabbits and lizards made it work. I also scored a cool cow hide rug and endure a lavish spa treatment at the Ace hotel after downing a few cocktails. Ixchel, as always made the desert into a freaking party, a trip!
Jasmin is enjoying the sun and the pool.
Snuggling on a tuft.

My new friend
This is the only time of day to really do anything active besides water related fun since it feels nice and breezy out at sundown and you can explore without feeling like you are sweltering in hell itself! Plam Springs and Joshua Tree are two lovely places that I'll be visiting soonish, like fall or winter. I want to be there when it actually cools down to normal temperatures and gets really cold at night! I love that!
